Following the Festival of Traditional Music "Sounds of Eurasia" in Buryatia, with the arrangement of D. Munkhnasan, Executive Director of IOV Mongolia and Caroline Kuo, Secretary General of ICAA-IOV Taiwan, a Joint Concert of NCO Taiwan and Mongolia State Song & Dance Ensemble was held on Sept. 22 at the Mongolia State Song & Dance Theater in Ulaanbaatar, as well as visits to some Mongolian cultural institutes. The first visit was to the Mongolia College of Music & Dance, where the delegation was welcomed by the Youth Orchestra first, followed by observation of some music masters' classes and a performance by the Youth Jazz Band which had won an international prize in Japan.

A special visit to the Central Culture Palace, which is the home base for the Mongolian State Philharmonic, National Morin Khuur Orchestra and National Jazz Band, was enthusiastically arranged by the Director/Conductor of the Morin Khuur Orchestra, Mr. Batchuluun. The Morin Khuur Orchestra also played an informal concert for the guests from Taiwan which had impressed the members of NCO Taiwan a lot.

At the end of the day, the Joint Concert by NCO Taiwan and Mongolia State Song & Dance Ensemble was held at the State Song & Dance Theater, open free to the general public and local cultural circles to celebrate the first music cooperation between the two countries. The Mongolia State Song & Dance Ensemble makes regular performances at the Theater to promote the cultural assets of Mongolia to foreigners especially. This special concert with NCO Taiwan really made its counterpart from Taiwan acquainted with the beautiful music and dance repertoires and the warm hospitality of Mongolia, which will definitely enhance the cultural exchanges between Taiwan and Mongolia in the future.
